Weinan Wang

We are proud to announce Weinan Wang has joined the Hum Law Firm as an Associate Lawyer. Weinan excelled in his time at Hum Law, where he was a Student at Law.  He obtained his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2019. Before that, he practiced law in China since 2008, focusing on business law and dispute resolution; he received his Master of Law degree from the University of Montreal, and his Bachelor of Law degree from Renmin University of China.

In China, Weinan served a wide range of clients, including state-owned enterprises, public and private companies. As a result, he faced and dealt with employment law issues in different settings, including restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and was exposed to various areas of law. He understands the diverse needs and concerns of various types of ownership. Also, he enjoys learning the business of clients. He strives to provide his service in a way most suitable to clients’ goals.

During his law school years, among other activities, Weinan worked with lawyers and a trustee in Canada to help a victim’s family in a criminal proceeding, and he also volunteered with a Canadian Civil Rights Organization. He is motivated to advocate and advance individuals’ rights.

Weinan is an avid birder and is always up for a meal at Burgers Priest.

Weinan is fluent in English and Mandarin. He remains a licensed lawyer in China.
